Food Technology Laboratory

Food Technology Laboratory of the Department of Food Technology, Institute of Food and Biotechnology, contributes to Can Tho University's mission of education, research, and service to society in the field of food science and technology. 

The Food Technology Laboratory includes the Food Technology room, the Advanced Food Technology room, which contains specialized food processing tools and equipment for experimental food processing including freezing, heat treatment, refrigeration, evaporation, drying and smoking. In addition, the Sensory Evaluation room performs food sensory quality analysis using scientific and industry standard methods.

The activities of Food technology Lab: 

- Research: 

+ Research field: Food product processing; improving product quality; new product development; Food analyses/measurements; Food sensory quality evaluation.

+ Implementing of many scientific research projects at ministerial, local, CTU levels as well as cooperation projects with foreign countries.

- Teaching: for undergraduate and postgraduate students in the field of Food technology, post-harvest technology, biotechnology and aquatic product processing technology. 

- Production of educational materials for specialized food sectors.

- Publishing
