This year, on April 6-18, 2026, the Faculty of Agricultural Technology Universitas Gadjah Mada (FAT UGM) will host an International Short Course, entitled “SHORT COURSE IN AGRI-FOOD SECTOR - Nature X ScienceTech Innovation: Co-creating Sustainable Agro-Food Industry and Climate Solutions for Resilient Planet”.
This short course will the integration of the Nature-based Solutions (NbS) with modern science and digital technologies (AI, IoT, remote sensing) that offers transformative potential for sustainable agriculture—enhancing resource efficiency, local empowerment, and climate adaptation, and also explores Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially on goals (2) Zero Hunger; (3) Good Health and Well-being; (4) Quality Education; (9) Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure; (12) Responsible Consumption and Production; (13) Climate Action; (15) Life on Land; and (17) Partnerships for the Goals.
The Short Course will be held in hybrid (the first phase as a Pre-Course session with fully online asynchronous method participation on April 6-12, 2026 and the second phase as a Course session with on-site and online synchronous participation on April 13-18, 2026), so that the participants can decide whether they will participate as fully online participants throughout the Short Course or will participate as onsite participants that will come physically to FAT UGM for the Course session, after finishing their Pre-Course phase online.
We gladly invite your students, researchers, and lecturers/faculty members to join the Short Course. Registration for the participants will be closed on January 30, 2026. The Committee will offer SHARED ACCOMMODATION FOR FREE to all ONSITE INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPANTS.
